It has been a wonderful week in the office ; designing, drafting and expressing our creative thoughts. To give us a break from this routine, a couple of architects have decided to organise the first ever Architect's Premier League APL T20. In the first week of this community we have 60 members registered with us in India and overseas. And more willing to participate, but not on Facebook. (And of course there are people who cant find their way around on Facebook, well, never mind..

But we are sure there are many more who are still unaware of this, and would love to be a part of this gathering of creative minds, showing off their athletic skills on the cricket ground. So we aim to have many more architects meet over a weekend, play n party, shout n scream and have a lot of fun. Now, we know that some of the teams would find it difficult to gather 14 players (Architects) from the same office, and might hence miss out on all the fun. So, in special cases,

Architectural firms would be allowed to combine forces and form teams. The ladies, we know, are feeling a little left out. We've had a few suggestions about how we can try and make them an integral part of the competition. But guys, being guys, have been questioning the competitiveness if the girls come in. And we are still open to suggestions regarding this. Though we would always like the pretty faces in the crowd. Inspiring and motivating the guys to do better.

Since this would be an event where we are expecting more than a 100 Architects participating from different cross sections and so many future architects too, this event is sure to make some heads turn and we are sure to be noticed. It would always help to get sponsors. Companies that are always looking for architects to buy their stationary, their aluminium composite bonds and their plywood. We could always do with companies sponsoring team t-shirts, or firms who would be ready to book the venue or sponsor the prize money etc. In turn that would bring down the individual contribution.

So, since this would benefit us all, you can all suggest companies that would be willing to chip in. We have several teams regestered with us like: Aedas, Hafeez Contractor, Kamal Malik Architecture, Ratan J Batliboy, Sankalpan, ABM Architects, Edifice, PGP Patki, CANS Nasik, Dynamite. For the teams who are busy designing tall monsters and dont have the time to design their team t-shirts, we have a friend who has volunteered to design and print t-shirts, trousers and caps
